lose-weightEvery one wants to lose weight these days. For some weight loss, people start taking up various diets like lemonade diet or dash diets and other dozen of diets. Probably it is time that you stop going on these diets and follow just a couple of rules for shedding extra pounds.

The key to lose weight is stay active. You should stay active every day. Not only to lose weight but in general also one should stay active. If you already have joined a gym, make sure that you visit it regularly. Hitting the gym is one way of staying active, so no skipping gym. Do not start making excuses for staying. Silly excuses like its raining out so you cannot go for jogging is lame, really lame. You can walk in hallway for a while or do some squats at home. Small things like taking the stairs instead of the elevators will do a big favor.

If you are about to wonder that you will continue to eat junk and stay active, trust me on this, you will never shed those extra pounds. What is the point if you are constantly eating and then staying active. How can you possibly lose weight then? The ratio of loosing weight and staying active will be equal. So try avoid all sort of unhealthy food. When people offer you, simply smile and say no thank you. That simple it is. Once in a while is okay to eat a little unhealthy stuff, but make sure that your ‘once in a while’ doesn’t occur more often.

When it comes to staying healthy, planning a good meal is very important. You need to start to build on your meal. Start googling for low fat and healthy recipes. Also avoid wandering in the shopping aisles. This way you will only stick to list. This is another way of staying healthy. And for snacks also make sure you munch something healthy.

Keep your friends close and fitness freaks closer. This is one mantra that you should chant. A fitness freak friend will always keep you motivated. If you are about to consume something unhealthy stuff, unlike other friends, your fitness freak friend will help you a lot to avoid the consumption of such food. Such a friend will help you in reaching your goal sooner. Also you will not only be motivated but also inspired.
