Other than cooking, olive oil can not only do wonders to your skin but also to your kitchen. The moment you know of its super working abilities you will be addicted to it. Yeah, olive oil is pretty much expensive and you wouldn’t want to use it for cleaning purposes but try it once. Its an addiction.
Just like any other oil, olive oil acts as a good lubricant. It will lubricate well on the creaky knobs. All you have to do is add a few drops of olive oil on the creaky knobs or sticky hinges and that irritating squeaky noise will be gone in a minute. There you see, the oil just saved your energy and saved you from acting like a carpenter.

Now if you jacket’s zipper will not budge and it is freezing cold outside, what will you do? Stay indoors and miss out the weekend? No, right? Run to your room. Take a cotton ball from your first aid box. Now run to the kitchen. Dip that cotton ball in some olive oil and rub it on the jacket’s zipper. There, it got your zipper back on track in a minute.

If you have a dry skin or having frizzy hair which is almost impossible to manage, use olive oil. Olive oil acts as a good moisturizer than any other moisturizers that you get from the market. Many a times we see the rubber wear like boots and wallets tend to get a white patch. It appears chalky after a few use. So, what you can do is rub some olive oil on the white patchy areas and the chalky patches will be gone. But make sure when you rub the oil on the shoes, be extremely careful. There could be a possibility that you could apply or spill some oil on the soles of the shoes. If there is oil on the soles of the shoes, wipe it off immediately or the next time when you use it, you are more likely to slip off.

One best trick to get rid of the mascara and eye makeup is to wipe it off with some olive oil. Just dip the cotton pad in some olive oil and swipe it on the eye lids. Want a perfect shinny sink? Once you are done cleaning the sink, rub a light coating olive oil and you will see your sink sparkling. Also you can use a little olive oil with some sugar and lemon zest and have a nice homemade scrubber. And just in case you see some wall paint in your hair, apply a little of olive oil on that strand of hair and the color will come off easily.
