First dates are fun. Getting to meet someone new. This someone new could be your man of your dream or your dream girl. The excitement and nervousness of the first date is always there. And in this excitement and nervousness combination we commit some really funny and irreparable mistakes. Here is a list of first date deal breakers that may of us unknowingly commit.

The most annoying thing that we get to hear is the ‘ex’ story. You feel like killing the person right in front of you and you end up cursing yourself for going on a date. Talking about your ex is beyond ridiculous on the first date. It would be better to talk about the new relationship that could take place rather than being stuck on the ex story. If you hear him or her talking about his or her ex, leave him then and there!

When the date is set for 7, it is expected that the person may reach at the most by 7.05, but showing up at 7.30 is pathetic. In fact girls hate when guys come in late for the very first date. It drives them nuts. They hate it. Uncalled emergencies are okay, one can even understand them, but without a valid explanation, its just a no no.

When out in public one should have good manners and gestures. Some people find it bad when you see one chewing with an open mouth or whistling to the waiter to place an order. First dates are meant to show good side of you and not the animal side of you. When guys complain about the menu prices all the time, they show how cheap and inexperienced they are. He should have at least basic manners if he wants to win your heart on a first date.

When on a date, it is important that you respect the other. Relationship is always based on mutual trust and respect. When you are put in an awkward position by your guy during your first date, you should make conclusions and realize that such relationship has no future. While some people are extremely self-absorbed. When you go on a date, the person should be interesting and self interested. One should brag about oneself. Life is not about I, me and myself. The conversation should be two sided and not one sided.
