You know what can be more stressful to a guy after commitment? Giving up his bachelor pad! Yes, after commitment, people usually look in for a live in relationship. And that is when the guy surrenders his life long possession, his bachelor pad. This may be a hard time for the guy, but he can easily over come this crisis. Yes you can be all positive and enthusiastic about it. How? Along with some changes here and there.

Start with the bed. If you are having a single bed, well then, it is time that you get a double bed. This is the very first step of sharing and entering the live in relationship. Slowly, the sharing should start from the bed, then to spaces and then to life. If you rock band, or football stars posters on the wall, then it is time for them to see the attic. Posters of good quotes is okay to stay on the wall. But just have a word over it with your live in partner. If the walls are having bad cracks or leaking or damaged. Get them repaired. See if it needs new paint or something. Take your partners opinion as well. This will be a good bonding exercise for the both of you. Also you will avoiding the I-so-not-like-surprises situation. Besides since you both will be sharing the room, it is necessary that you involve your partner.

If you have old, boyish linens, it’s time for them to be replaced with slightly more classy ones. Take your partner shopping; it will really make her feel good and earn you some extra brownie points. Besides, you can chill at a sports bar while she picks up some cool stuff for the bedroom. And seriously it is high time that you get the junk out of the room as soon as possible. Start with picking up the inside out socks. Do some laundry. Set your closet. Make your room tidy and neat. After all, you will be sharing it with your partner.

And lastly, very important, if you have a small wardrobe then you need to get a big one. Or if you have a big one, then make some space for your partner. Get more hangers, create shelves and so on.
