- Brunette to Blonde:-

Save yourself from extra work.. by spreading disposable garbage bags in the surroundings which could be directly picked up and trashed. - Save your skin from getting Colored:-
Your whole new look will go in trash as well if you don’t shield your face while coloring. Apply solid clear lip balm around your hairline to avoid getting long term color streaks around your face skin. - Be Prepared:-
Your hands are all going to be goopy from hair color. You will create a whole lot of mess if in the middle of coloring process you realize that you forgot a tool, ruining your hair along the way. Always read the instructions beforehand and be ready with the supplies in need for the whole process. - Bowl it in:-
Squirting the dye out of the bottle and smearing it all over your hair may be easy, but this method can be a lot messy and imprecise. Instead play Salon colorist, Mix color in a bowl and paint on with a with a color brush for the most even and professional finish. - Toothbrush for Highlight:-
Several tester’s smart trick for subtle results is to use a kit two shades lighter than your color and paint on highlights with a clean Toothbrush or Mascara wand. Place them sparingly where sun would hit- around the hairline and stemming from your part. - Start from Roots:-
Since the root area needs the most coloring and longest time to process, start apply from the roots. Then comb through the rest of your hand to spread it through evenly- you will avoid the two tone effect. Divide your hair in four to six sections to work it like a pro. - Mirror it two way:-
since you going to apply it yourself, you won’t be able to see the back of your head clearly, thus a mirror at the side or at the back is recommended to ensure that you don’t miss out on any spot. - Wet wipes to rescue:-
Use them to sop up any dye splatters as they happen. If you wait until you’re done to clean them up, they may have already set. - Put a (shower) cap on it:-
Once all color is on, cover it up with a disposable shower cap, you don’t want more mess for yourself to clean an for your sofa’s to have same color as your hair. - Extra Gloves:-
The at-home kit is provided with just a single pair of gloves which will be used by you while coloring, but you also need gloves to wash them off, so be prepared with an extra pair gloves as well. Many have complained of having to bare serious color stains in their fingers. - Gloss your Hair:-
Once colored your hair needs to be glossed so as to make them look appealing and boost the hue of coloring and make them shine.
