
Remember the days, when work meant exerting sweat, blood and tears. It all involved manual work, keeping our body in shape and helping us stay fit. We needed no Gym to keep us healthy and fit. Now since our work involves all by sitting on chair and tapping away on the keyboard there is no space for fitness into it.
These simple steps will help you in giving your body some much needed action, they won’t obviously help you in getting those six packs or that perfect summer body but will surely help in burning some extra calories.
- Stair Master:-
The computerized work life makes us sit in one place through out the day with no movement to the body, other than tapping away on our keyboards. So start with using stairs instead of elevators. They will also save you from those awkward movements we all spend in the elevator. It provides a good amount of Cardio to your body. - Say a hello to everyone:-
While working on our computers we don’t realise where the hours are passing by, keep a periodic check on time and take a walk around the office, every 45 minutes or an hour. This way you exerting your body to movement not letting it slog for long. Greet your colleagues in those walks, will help in garnering new friendships. - Personal communication:-
We send mails for work conversations to our colleagues and managers, how about we take a walk down their cubicle, always try and provide as much activity as possible to your body. This will also grow the personal connection between you and your co-workers. - Stretching:-
Staying in the same posture for long hours, can turn our bones and muscles sour, give them a stir by stretching a little here and there. Pull your left across the chest to your right and vice a versa, give your neck some much needed rotations. - Swivel the Chair:-
We all love to swivel that office chair of ours when bored, lets make it fun and useful at the same time. Hold the desk with your fingers and thumbs and swivel the chair from right to left while you sit upright in it Blair Supply Corporation. This will give your upper body muscles twist and help them remove the knots in them.
You could find N number of stuff to work along to keep your body moving even in this atmosphere. Just be motivated enough to give your body the manual activity it requires.
