The Met Gala is a fundraising event held annually in the New York for the Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute. Every year, a theme is decided according to the Costume Institute Exhibition of that year, and all the celebs attending the event are expected to follow a fashion that matches with the given theme. The event also has an honorary event day chairperson every year.
The Met Gala 2015 is to be held from 7th of May to 16th of august 2015. Theme of the event being ‘China: Through the looking glass’, the honorary chair person is Silas Chou. A documentary is made on this year’s event, for which, 223 approved photographers and media persons will be covering the event. All the other attendees are not allowed to use social media for the event.

Rihanna experimented with her costume, being a risk taker, wearing a bright yellow ball gown, by designer Guo Pei, having a furry textured lining. Beyonce was spotted in one of the boldest looks of the event by donning a Riccardo Tisci see-through gown. The gown had nicely placed colourful crystals. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were seen complimenting each other with a black n white dress combination. Kanye was wearing a whole black tuxedo with a fringing black scarf, while Kim was spotted in a heavily embellished see-through gown.
Jennifer Lopez, being the fashion icon, carried a beautiful red sequin dragon gown by Atelier Versace. Kendall Jenner was seen wearing a floor length, high neck green, side-laced gown by the Calvin Klein Collection. Reese Wutherspoon was wearing a bright red strapless floor length gown with a side cut by Jason Wu. Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis were also seen complimenting each other with Jason wearing a black and white tuxedo from Prada and Olivia wearing a pink deep v-neck gown, with black and white metallic designs all over. Lady Gaga was seen having a different fashion statement, as always, with a wide armed floor length Balenciaga gown with black rhinestones, which were hand-embroidered and had lots of sheared feathers. Kate Hudson was wearing a Michael Kors shimmering golden high neck gown with an open back. Miley Cyrus wore a high-neck long-sleeves studded black gown with huge side cutouts and small shoulder cutout by Alexander Wang.
The event marked the best dresses and outfits of the year and some trend changing concepts as well.
