Dust is one thing that is very hard to get rid off. It is like you and dust are sworn enemies. When dust starts winning the battle, you get upset and disappointed, don’t you? But did you ever think that probably why dust is winning even after all your attempts of cleaning and vacuuming? Maybe you are not dusting in the right way. So, do you use a feather duster? If you are using it, stop using it right away. The feather duster adds more work. It helps in spreading dust from one place to another. Rather than a feather duster what you can do is use a microfiber duster or an electrostatic duster. These types of duster grabs and holds the dust unlike the feather duster. But make sure you wash the duster after every use.

One of the biggest dust magnets in the house will be the air conditioner vents. It is very important to clean them on a regular basis. If you don’t do so then the moment you turn the machine on, it will emit all the dust inside the house. That could be one reason why your house is dusty. So brush off the dust from the air conditioner vents once a week at least.

When dust starts to get dry, it easily gets mixed in the air. Also since it is dry, it is light and it can settle on anything and makes it a real task to get rid off it. Also only dusting will do no good. Try using a dusting spray or some sort of a cleansing liquid to wipe off the dust. This will give you a better result and will help you to avoid the accumulation of dust.

If you are in the habit of spraying polish directly on the furniture then you are ruining it. How? The moment you spray the polish on the furniture a filmy layer is build up. Now it becomes very difficult to remove this layer. And then later this layer attracts more of dust. Instead what you can do is you can spray the liquid on the cloth and then wipe it on the furniture. And still if you want to spray on the furniture then spray lightly and wipe. Once that is done, again with a clean cloth wipe over so that no filmy layer is remaining.
