90’s fashion was something you could say as new and way trendy than the 80’s. 90’s fashion was full of cargo pants and tie-dyes tees and one thing that was common that neither men nor women ever used combs. Women were dying to get rid of the shoulder pads and men were embracing hi-top fade hairdos. It was this time when men looked like men and women looked like women. Here is a list of the best 90’s fashion which is slowly trying to fit in the 2000’s.

90’s was the time of grunge. Grunge clothing was characterized by an overall sloppy and unkempt look. You’d find boys in flannel shirts over their graphic tees probably discussing how to get their band together. Girls in combat boots and belly button ring were seen everywhere. This look occurred accidentally and not contrived.

Remember the small backpacks which we find common today? They are from the 90’s. The matt brown lipstick and scrunchies is the classic look of the 90’s. You would get to see girls carrying these mini backpacks in denim and basic black and sometimes olive green. Friends, the sitcom that spawned multiple fashion trends such as the ‘Rachel’ haircut was also responsible for popularizing the ridiculous small backpack we all adored.

For the girl stuff, there was the extra floral dresses. The dresses were short sleeved or sleeveless with tons of colorful flowers on it. And just in few months the new trend of strap floral dress over a tee was a big hit. These dresses were seen with sandals or boots, irrespective of their length. And yes there was time in the 90’s when wearing a slip dress to dinner was acceptable. It was provocative and risqué, but the trend caught on overnight. Girls wore slip dresses to clubs, parties, proms and they were also seen on the red carpet. The skinnier the girl, the better the dress hung.

One of the things famous back in the 90’s fashion was the bodytop. Wondering what is a bodytop? It looked like a combination of a swimsuit and a onesie. They were available in grey, black or white. One thing if you will notice is that there was no flashy bright colors seen in the 90’s fashion.
Remember the goth chokers? Boy it was a big fashion trend back then. The goth stretch choker necklace, often accompanied by dark lipstick, was too cool for school. And denim had no age bar. It was worn by all. Light washes in denim were more popular than dark. The look was completed with sneakers. To really rock the look, you had to leave one strap undone. This is one trend we want back
