Many a times you will be working out real hard and trying your best to kill those cravings and stay faithful to your diet, but still the scale does not show any weight loss. The scale is right there where it was when you had taken an oath to shed some pounds. This is a common problem for all those who want to lose weight. When you start dieting or working out you expect that number on the scale to drop a little at least but when this doesn’t happen, boy, it gets frustrating. And then later it will get on your nerves and you will get discouraged. So it is time that you should not believe in the scale anymore.

When it comes to ignoring the scale, consider your body composition. Like if you have a lower body composition then you will be having less fat and more of muscles which is important. So what do you expect to see on the scale? Here is an amazing fact on body weight. Did you know that your weight keeps in fluctuating everyday, like every single day? Still not believing? Try this exercise; measure your weight everyday for a whole week and you will notice that your weight will keep on fluctuating a little everyday. The reason for this is that water retention due to hormones or you will be holding water by consuming too much of sodium. One way to avoid such happening is that drink tons of water. This will lower your sodium intake which will try to maintain a stable weight.

And this is really important- just because one is thin doesn’t mean that that person is unhealthy or weak. So yes the person may appear thin but could be way healthier. So here again the scale will show something not quite right. The bony people and muscle ones weigh more than ones who have lots of fats. Building muscles has its benefits and one of its benefits will be that it can boost your metabolism which helps in burning the fats. Rather than the scale, believe in your clothes. If your clothes fit you well who needs a scale?

Following the scale will slowly hypnotize you. If you see that the scale had dropped, you will believe that you have lost weight. If you see the scale rising, you will feel you have gained weight. So this is how your mind will be controlled by a silly scale. All you have to do is eat healthy. Appearance is way important than your weight. What is the point of losing weight and look weird and sick? So, here again, make sure you eat healthy and stay healthy.
