Women Hair Stye tips

There are in numerous ways you can style your hair. Here are some basic tips. A great haircut should make your favorite hairstyles easier to accomplish. Talk to a stylist about which cut would be best for your hair, or investigate on your own.

Method 1 of 4: Use Products :
There are a number of products available at drug stores and salons that will help you achieve the look you want.

  1. Find the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair: Different types and textures of hair will require different products. If you have color-treated, oily, dry, frizzy or limp hair, there are shampoos and conditioners specifically designed to work around these issues. Find one that fits your price range and needs.
  2. Use a holding product: There are several different products you can use to shape or arrange your hair. Here are a few commonly used options, from light hold to strong hold.
  3. Serums or creams: These can help you tame fly-away or de-frizz curls without making your hair stiff and immovable.
  4. Mousse: Use hair mousse to add volume and shine to your hair, with minimal hold. For best results, apply to wet hair and allow to dry.
  5. Pomade: Hair wax or hair clay. Use these products to mould your hair in to difficult-to-achieve shapes, such as pompadours or curls (for naturally straight hair). Be aware that it can take several washes to remove these products, so apply them lightly. A pea-sized amount should be plenty if you have short, medium or thin hair. Use pomade or hair wax for a shiny, wet look; use hair clay for a matte, natural tone.
  6. Gel: Unlike pomade, gel contains alcohol that dries out hair and makes for a stiffer hold. For the strongest hold, apply gel to wet hair
  7. Hair glue: Ever wonder how some people get their mohawks to stand straight up? They’re probably using some variation of hair glue, which provides the strongest possible hold. Be wary of product build-up, and wash hair thoroughly.
  8. Use hairspray: Like the products above, hairspray can be purchased in a variety of strengths. Use a low-alcohol formula on dry hair for a light hold, or put a stronger version over gel, mousse or hair glue for ultimate rigidity.

Method 2 of 4: Use Tools

  1. Choose the right comb or brush for your hair: How you comb or brush your hair should depend on your hair texture and thickness. Consider these options : For short, medium to thin hair, use a regular comb, which should slide through hair easily. Applying more force than necessary with a brush could damage your hair.On medium or long hair that’s wet, use a wide-tooth comb. This will help remove tangles. On medium or long thick hair that’s a bit oily, use a boar-bristle brush. The fibres in the brush will draw the small amount of oil from the root of your hair down through the strands, making hair soft and shiny. On medium or long hair that’s dry, use a paddle brush. Unlike a boar-bristle brush, which can irritate dry and brittle hair, the paddle brush should give you a smooth stroke with minimal irritation
  2. Blow dry your hair: When using a blow dryer, point the barrel so that it follows the direction of the hair shaft (which runs from the root of the hair to the tip). Point it the wrong way can cause damage. Dry hair on a warm or hot setting, then switch to cool to “set” the look. Use a diffuser attachment to add manageable volume.
  3. Use hot rollers: These are tools used to curl your hair with the help of heat. They can be made from synthetic sponge or plastic, covered with Velcro.
  4. Try hair irons: There are a variety of hot irons available to shape your hair. The most common ones are as follows:- Curling irons and curling wands, which come in a variety of sizes. If you’re using a curling wand, remember to wear a protective mitten on the other hand. Flat irons, which can straighten out unruly hair. These are sold in a variety of widths and strengths. Crimping irons, which use interlocking teeth to create stiff crimps. These were extremely popular in the 1980’s.

Method 3 of 4: Put Your Hair Up

  1. Braid your hair: Braiding is quick and easy once you learn the technique, and provides a pretty way of keeping hair out of your face. Try a basic braid, French braid, rope braid or fishtail braid to get started.
  2. Try an up-do: Up-dos involve bringing most or all of the hair away from the face and up from the neck, and can be done in a variety of ways. Try a messy bun, a traditional bun, or a tight ballerina-style bun.

Method 4 of 4: More Information

  1. For everyday styles you can wear to work or school, check out Do Simple and Cute Hairstyles.
  2. Do a classic ponytail: Pull hair away from your face and secure with a non-rubber elastic. You can position your ponytail high, at the crown of your head or low, at the nape of your neck – or somewhere in between. You can also try putting it to one side, or splitting it into two tails (also called pigtails).
  3. Braid your hair: Braiding is quick and easy once you learn the technique, and provides a pretty way of keeping hair out of your face. Try a basic braid, French braid, rope braid or fishtail braid to get started.
  4. Try an up-do: Up-dos involve bringing most or all of the hair away from the face and up from the neck, and can be done in a variety of ways. Try a messy bun, a traditional bun, or a tight ballerina-style bun.
  5. Spike Your Hair: If your hair is shorter, spiking it can add more definition and volume. Use hair gel, mousse, hair wax, or another similar product that will provide the desired level of hold.
  6. Wear your hair curly or wavy :You can style your hair this way with tools (such as a curling iron or flat iron), or just with wet hair and a braid.

Tips :
Try to find a haircut that makes styling easy, or avoid over-styling your hair. Generally, the more you style your hair (by tugging at it, and by applying heat), the more damaged it will become.
Many people claim that hair is easier to style when it hasn’t been washed for a day.
