Do Not Stand for Longer Period
To prevent varicose veins in pregnancy, try to avoid sitting and standing for a longer period of time. Siting and standing position for a longer period of time sometimes results in varicose veins. Sleep on the Left Side

The best ways to prevent varicose veins is to give rest to the feet or legs. Use box or pillow for resting. You can rest your legs by putting it on a stool or a chair when you are sitting. And if you are lying, elevate your legs by using pillow. It is always recommendable to elevate your legs as well as feet whenever possible. Avoid Carrying Too Much Weight
Carrying too much weight in pregnancy is one of the main causes of varicose veins. Try to avoid gaining too much gain. It is always recommended to talk to the doctor on this matter. Ask your doctor how much weight you should carry. Some avoid carrying too much weight is another one of the ways that helps to prevent varicose veins in pregnancy.

Avoid Constipation
Constipation can increase the issue of varicose veins. So, it is much better to avoid constipation. There are many ways that helps to avoid constipation.eat foods which are rich in fiber, reduce the intake of salt and drink lots of water. All these things help to avoid the issue of constipation. If the issue of constipation persist, it is much better to go for stool softener. It is safe during pregnancy.

Wear Support
Wearing support hose is another way to prevent varicose veins in pregnancy. Compressed stocking and mild support hose, which are looser at the thigh and tighter at the ankle can redirect blood to the heart and thus helps in preventing varicose veins during pregnancy.
